Asian lady beetles resemble native ladybugs but are an aggressive fall invader. Like boxelder bugs, they gather on warm sunny walls in autumn and push into wall voids and attics to overwinter, then cluster around windows indoors on warm days.
They can emit a yellow defensive fluid that stains and smells, and occasionally nip. A well-timed fall exterior treatment is the most effective prevention.
