Ants are the most common household pest in our area. They enter in search of food and moisture, forming trails between their nest and your kitchen, bathroom, or pantry. A handful of foragers usually signals a much larger colony nearby.

How to identify
- Most common household species are 1/8 to 1/4 inch long
- Distinct trails along baseboards, counters, and foundations
- Colors range from light brown to black depending on species
